I have called the County of Brant home for over 15 years. My husband, Carman,
and I operate a dairy, beef, lamb and cash crop farm with our family between Paris and Ayr. As
is the case for many young farming families, I also work off of the farm. My day job is serving as
the Manager of Public Engagement and Digital Strategy at the Beef Farmers of Ontario (BFO).
While my main responsibility is promoting Ontario beef and beef farming to the public, I am also
the team lead for BFO’s diversity, equity and inclusion work, a role I am very passionate about. I
am also a strong advocate for farmer mental health and wellness.
I am a communications professional, farmer, mom, board director, active community volunteer,
and engaged resident of Brant County. I wear many hats and have mastered the art of changing
them depending on the job needing to be done. My involvement in organizations and activities
throughout the ward, county, and province allows me to connect with and understand folks from
all walks of life, making me an excellent candidate to serve as one of two Ward 1 Councillors
and be your voice on Brant County Council.
I invite you to check out my website to learn more about my background and my vision for Ward
1 and the County of Brant.
I am dedicated to creating a healthy and forward-thinking Brant County. As a Ward 1
councillor, I will commit to ensuring the County of Brant remains a place where folks can not
only access basic necessities, but where they feel engaged and supported, and want to live,
work, play, and raise a family.
My priorities include:
- Access to essential services and infrastructure across the county
- Thoughtful and strategic development in Ward 1 and the county
- Support for improved and expanded recreational facilities and programs
- Advocacy for agriculture as a major economic driver in the region
