Mission
As a small business owner (Seventh Coffee Company), and a father of 5 elementary-aged kids (one of whom is special needs), I bring a unique perspective that perhaps council is presently missing. I want to engage with the public and have them get involved in the decision-making process. I also want to bring customer service back. If residents have an issue, I’m a text, phone call, DM, or email away. You’ll get a timely response from me, as well as follow-up. We live in a fantastic community, but that doesn’t mean we can’t tweak it and make it better.
Priorities
Infrastructure Before Development – Growth in our ward is inevitable, but the proper infrastructure must be in place before we allow this growth to continue. Existing residents’ services should not suffer for the sake of growth.
Road Safety – Inadequate safety measures on our roads threaten the safety of our residents and children. Speeding needs to be addressed with proper enforcement, and better signage. Roads need to be upgraded with growth in mind so our roads are safer to travel.
Retain and Grow Local Business – As a business owner, I know how difficult navigating the system can be. Businesses need a direct pipeline to the county to help ease the burden, and I will be that pipeline.
Education/Children’s Programming – Having an extensive history with the school system, I will foster relationships with the school boards, creating clear and open lines of communication as well all work to ensure accessibility and inclusivity for all kids in summer programs, after-school programs, and other recreational programs.
Customer Service – Owning a business, I know how vital relationships and customer service are. I plan to translate that to all aspects of being a councilor. Timely follow-ups, and respectful conversations no matter how difficult the subject matter is vital to residents having a voice and being a part of decision-making in Ward 5.
